After lunch at the wind-sheltered Yak Kharka we ascended very steeply to the ridge at about 4200m. Winds gusting to 100km/hr and blinding snow hit us immediately. After struggling for half an hour, I gave up and asked Gyan to set up camp in the wind-sheltered valley.
